M C BANK & TRUST COMPANY is Hiring a Human Resource Generalist Near Metairie, LA

Job Description:
The role of the Human Resources Generalist is to partner with the managers and associates to ensure processes and programs are in place that support the day-to-day operation. This requires working in areas of recruitment, onboarding, benefits, HRIS, health/safety and EEO compliance.
Expectations:
  • Facilitates the hiring processes from job posting to onboarding; including new hire orientation.
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Coordinate and assign online training sessions and seminars.
  • Prepare, review, interpret and analyze a variety of data, information and reports and make recommendations on findings.
  • Responsible for entering employee data and ensuring accuracy within the HRIS System.
  • Supports HR team by contributing to ongoing process improvements in the HR department.
  • Coordinate benefit administration including annual and new hire enrollments, enquiries, qualifying events, and reconciles all benefit accounts for the approval of billing statements.
  • Will backup payroll administration, including bi-weekly payroll processing, and general ledger allocations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Completes special projects and other duties relating to Human Resources.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree Human Resources Management or other related degree preferred.
  • At least three years working in an HR related position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate others.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and other government compliance regulations.
  • Must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations exercising flexibility, critical thinking skills and sound judgment.
Additional Notes:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required, with the ability to research issues, summarize findings, and make meaningful recommendations.
  • Must be detail oriented and well organized.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required.
  • Must be able to complete all assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Position may require travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes within state.
